Important Star Wars 1 in 9.4 White ComicLink auction

The second high-grade book 35 cent variant in the March ComicLink auction was this stunning Star Wars 1 35 cent price variant.  Undoubtedly a QueenAngelica book, this is one of only seven 9.4s graded with only two 9.6s graded higher.   The QueenAngelica mini-hoard brought several high-grade copies of this ultimate bronze-age comic which temporarily sated the incredible demand for this book.  Now demand again seems to be rising for this issue.

Here are the auction details.

ComicLink Comments:
Very few Bronze Age comics can match the scarcity of the 35 cent Price Variant of the first issue of Star Wars, and the combination of this iconic series with the comic book format underscores the cultural relevancy of both. The offered example is 1 of only 7 at the CGC 9.4 NM tier and is the second highest grade ever assigned by CGC with just two examples graded slightly higher in 9.6. Elevating this one to the very top of the short 9.4 list, CGC has assigned its perfect page quality designation of White Pages.
